Home sales increased in El Paso County by 7.5% for the month of April when compared to the previous month of March which isn’t surprising since we are in the busy season of real estate for Colorado Springs. Compared to the same time a year ago, single family home sales were 18.9% higher in April 2013.
There were also 148 fewer single family home sales in April 2012.Compared to the previous month of March, the average sales price ($235,161) and the median sales price ($214,925) increased. Last April, the average sales price was $221,125 and the median sales price was $192,525. Low inventory is creating more demand and home prices have increased when comparing to last year at this time. Prices are climbing again in Colorado Springs.
